The challenge
Mike had been making clothes for 5 years, with multiple boxes of samples, but no finished ideas and no clarity or knowledge on how to progress.
Our approach
We took the load off his shoulders so he could stay focused on running his businesses. We began with a 2-hour session at his house where Mike showed us his favourite pieces of clothing, what he wanted to take into the brand, and his ideas. That gave our team enough to start drafting mood boards, designs, and colourways for the branding. From there, we took care of the design iteration and sampling, and all the factory sourcing, negotiating, and communication.
What we delivered
Branding. The Flow60 branding already existed. We tested logo placement, logo colouring, embroidery and jacquard, and the logo was finished in embroidery.
Fabric. Mike wanted the fabric to be organic and as health oriented as possible. After careful consideration, we chose 100% organic bamboo viscose, 250 GSM. It has the same qualities as cotton, but is more durable and tougher.
Comfort and function. The waistband had no elastication, a requirement for Mike: absolutely zero restriction in blood flow. The goal was to replicate his current trouser design one-to-one, change a few pieces, copy the overall shape of the original trouser design, but fix some problems with the pockets, the stitching, the bands, and the belt placement.
The collection. Alongside the trousers, we designed shorts, specific t-shirts, and a jacket design. All designed and sampled as one collection.
The result
A complete collection Mike now wears in his own branded merchandise for interviews, events, and videos. And soon available to the public.
